Shangri La falls

Files under Photo schtuff | Posted by THE J-Mo

Here’s one of my shots from Saturday’s hiking extravaganza. It’s of Shangri-La falls in Bankhead forest. I like this shot except for the dang hotspot on the rocks to the left of the falls. I wish I would have caught that. I’ll be more careful next time. And yes TC, this is what winter in Alabama looks like.

    OK, I think it’s official: I’m moving.

    Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

Nice picture. Is this falls upstream of Brushy lake?

Billy - no. Actually it’s about 2.15 to 2.20 miles west/southwest of Brushy Creek. It doesn’t *look* like they’re connected but I could be wrong. If you have Google Maps or Earth, it’s about .6 of a mile east of what I think is a lumber mill of some sort. It was off of Cheatam road. Drove up a logging trail as far as we could then started hiking.
