After being out all day Saturday, I hit it hard again Sunday. Up at 6 AM, at the movie theater by 7:30 to get my drums set up and ready to roll by just a bit after 8. After that was over, I grabbed a quick bit to eat and was back at Point Mallard for the final day of STIHL action. It was HOT HOT HOT. Even hotter than Saturday. In the middle of the competition, the winds kicked up and it started drizzling. Out comes the rain gear for all the cameras and such. The clouds are looking quite angry so I took shelter in one of the tents. Some of the crowd stayed on the bleachers. When it was clear to me that things were only going to get worse, I headed for my car. Just in time too before it came a torrential downpour.
About an hour later, the weather cleared leaving standing water everywhere but with temperatures MUCH cooler. It was actually nice. Wrapped things up and headed out, but not before grabbing a shot with Tiffany – always fun and very helpful. She works with our convention and visitor’s bureau staff to help recruit events to Decatur.

What crazy weather! It actually rained here last night…so strange!
