weird weather
So much for going from winter to summer. We were in the upper 80’s for highs last week and today it was in the mid 60’s with more cooler weather to come. I am thankful for the rain however. The air seemed a little easier to breathe outside instead of being so saturated with pollen. It was a windy night last night as the cool front moved through.
I spent a good part of my day out and about shooting photos for another project. I got to work with our local police department on it which proved to be interesting as well as fun. I really have a respect for what officers have to deal with on a day to day basis.
On my way home, I stopped by the church building to see what the stage was looking like. They’ve got the paint on around the stage now. It’s looking good. The instruments should really “pop” against the dark background under the stage lights. Should be nice when it’s all done.
Oh, Kevin has a dog that went MIA today. Abby, their “good” Siberian huskey looks to have taken off sometime today. I drove around while Kevin hung out his window with a spotlight looking for her. No luck. My hope is that she comes home overnight perhaps. Kevin’s going to keep in touch with our animal control department to see if she gets picked up. She has a collar on so at least people will know she belongs to someone.
LOST was good tonight. Now we know what the fence is for. I’m wondering what’s cooking with Juliet.
A somewhat eclectic collection of my thoughts, images and opinions. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes serious... you never know. I've got an interesting group of friends who typically provide endless hours of entertainment and fodder for the blog. I don't spend ALL my time with my friends though. When I'd rather be by myself, I can be found watching F1 racing on TV (or in person), playing my drums or working on some photography projects.
By day I work at a design studio. I have an opportunity to work on a myriad of projects, but mainly those relating to the web and other "new media" are what I'm involved in. A large part of what I do also incorporates photography. It's a nice mix since I'm exposed to several different types of photo needs and situations for work which then helps me when I'm working on personal photo projects - and vice versa.

You know I totally expect a video of the new stage with the instruments popping!!

I’m sure I’ll have a video soon to share. We were also able to replace a projection screen we were using with a large 60″ plasma display that looks extra-fly. I debated bringing my “pretty” drums up there. I ended up not doing it because it’s kind of a major operation to swap drums sets out and get all the microphones repositioned and set on the sound board.
No luck yet with Kevin’s dog.
