And it’s holiday one too.

I was still tired from the two photo shoots I did yesterday. Out in the sun all afternoon then up close to 100′ in the air shooting aerial photos from a boom. (I was getting some shots of a local sports facility.) I don’t have a problem with heights generally, but the wobbling around and the jolts and jostles that go along with moving around in hydraulic machinery can be unsettling. I did have a pretty serious safety harness on though.

In other news, I ordered a new part for one of my drums. I ordered a black anodized one and received a brushed aluminum one (the wrong one) the next day via UPS. I called the vendor about the error and they shipped me the right one… via USPS which takes 2 days instead of the 1 UPS takes. Sigh. Well, I change my mind and want a gold one instead. I call the vendor and they send me a gold one, again via USPS. Grrr… it arrives today. It’s the right part but guess what? They forgot 2 special screws I need. They’re sending them out tomorrow - but since it’s a long weekend, I’m not getting them till Tuesday no matter how they ship it! This is how new cuss words are invented.
